The commanders of units of western border with Afghanistan got the message from the Pakistan army chief that they will have full liberty of action so that they could respond by employing there capabilities. Kayani said that if they faced NATO forces attack, then there will no distraction in the rules of engagement for everyone down the chain of command.
Kayani said that the army will provide all the resource as and when required and no clearance will be required in such an action at any point of level. We got to know from the online news that kayani also said that If the Pakistan air force had joined in then the action could have been managed more efficiently and effectively. This was held in Islamabad. Moreover, He said that the decision was not taken on time just because of lack of clarity and breakdown of communications, so there was no mistake of Pakistan air force if they were not able to participate. Finally, On Friday, military gave the statement that the air force could not be deployed due to lack of clarity and breakdown of communications within the enterprise at different levels. No losses will be treated greater than the national institution’s honour and the aggressor cannot walk away easily.
